I am 5'3 and WW set my weight range from 113-141.I don't ever remember seeing 113 so there is no way I would set that as my goal.I chose the highest end of the range and will be happy to stay anywhere around 136-137.I think everyone has a weight set point that our bodies don't want to get below and that set point is different for everyone.

I went to the AU site "Be within 2 kilograms of goal weight or lower by the end of your maintenance program"! Geez, linda72 and limefan, that's just crazy, I am so jealous.

DebDoesWW Even 1 kilogram= 2.2 lbs. which is more than the U.S. and they get 2 kilos? That's not fair! *** turns and tosses pigtails in the air and stomps off to my room!****

that is pretty ridiculous that WW north america chooses the same "2" number but obviously not equal weights! and 8.8 lb cushion considering both directions would be great! 4 lbs is a bit tougher. especially with a sodium gain.

What the heck are you guys serious?! That crazy! Hey chook are the rumors true? Yes. In Australia it's a 2kg buffer which is 4.4lbs. If you continuously weigh in 2kg below your goal you may be asked to adjust your target weight though, which to me, just encourages a diet mentality.

Maybe WW thought pounds and kilos had the same value??? Nah, that's not possible. Or, is it?

When I was pre-menopausal, I found the 2 lb. limit very difficult to stay within.

when i was in true maintenance phase after making goal weight, i could easily fluctuate 5 lbs a week. i would be up 5 one week, down 4 the next or vice versa.

While my weight can wildly fluctuate from day to day, over an almost 15 year period I have managed to weigh in within that 2 pound limit the entire time.

i was exercising pretty heavily at that time too, so i'm sure that was part of why i'd have such high fluctuations. water retention.

I remember thinking a 4 pound window was undoable and I had friends (not WW) that were horrified for me. But, like luanne, I have never had to pay; unless you are staff, there is an entire month to get on the scale. Even with sodium, exercise, whatever.

I'm stopping my exercising... only if you want to be skinny flabby but have the scale cooperate! better to have the scale not cooperate and have the body get tighter and smaller!
