I wish there was a 5 lb range. I'd be in the safe zone already. My body seems to like it here in the low 140s. To get into the 130s I need to live off of veggies and protein.

I went to the AU site "Be within 2 kilograms of goal weight or lower by the end of your maintenance program"! Geez, linda72 and limefan , that's just crazy, I am so jealous. I am jealous too.

limefan I heard that Australians get a 2 kilogram leeway. That would be 4.4 pounds. I'd love that but then I'd probably just run my weight up to 4.3 anyway! I'm a rebel like that! Linda, I would probably do the same thing. I would push the limit.

I used to weigh in during the day and then changed jobs and had to start weighing in at night. During the day I was right at the 2 pound limit. By night time, I am 2 or even 3 pounds over that no matter what I do. So, I would like that 4-5 pound limit. Perhaps I would not have allowed myself to get derailed at not being able to get my weight down in the evening.

I have lunchtime meetings, and I always weigh in wearing a camisole and the thinnest slacks I can find.

Yeah I have to say that , even though I feel like my weight fluctuates pretty wildly, I weighed in within the 2 pound range for the 6 1/2 years I was doing weight watchers. But I had to be sure not to weigh in during my period, when I routinely gain about 5 pounds. If I'd been a weekly meeting goer that could have been a big problem since you're supposed to weigh in the first week of the month no matter what.

I don't try for consistency in weigh-ins. I wear whatever I would otherwise wear that day, eat whatever I would otherwise eat and take the consequences. If I can't go at my regular time, I don't worry about time-of-day differences. It all evens out in the end. It is frustrating sometimes when I know that a gain isn't "real" or that a loss should have been bigger, but I try not to let that stuff get to me. Otherwise, I think that I could be compulsive about it.

It's the first time you weigh in that month. I've weighed in at all different times of a month to get my voucher.

Oh sorry, I thought you had to weigh at the first meeting you attended in the month. But I'm sure you're right, I rarely went to meetings after I made goal.

You do have to weigh at the first meeting you attend in the month. I though Denise littlepioneerwoman meant that she might not attend a meeting (and weigh in) until she knew she'd make weight.

I like to weigh in at the beginning of one month and then wait until the end of the next month, then go back the next month at the beginning and then wait until the end of the next. That way you are only weighing in about every 6 - 8 weeks. It also gives you the flexibility to not go if you've had an event or vacation until you are at or near goal. Another thing I did was choose the highest weight I could for my range as my goal. I usually go a little lower, but if I've gained I still have that cushion. I also don't go crazy on weigh in day watching what I eat or what I wear. As long as I'm under that goal +2 weight I'm happy.

Kim, that was what I used to tell people when I was weighing them in...if they were free, they were successful.
