Thanks Tammy, janicel4, I am doing okay. I wrote a longer post in the beck threads but basically I am dealing with ptsd from this heart attack since I was the first responder. It was the most terrifying experience of my life and I am telling everyone I know, please go take a CPD course because you never know when you will need it. So yeah, I'm dealing with that and my WLJ this summer, that's my job right now, getting my body, my weight, and my head screwed on straight!

surfgirl, Hugs. I don't do as much social media as I once did. But you had well-wishes from Linda and Chris on FB.

surfgirl , Is this the Wendie thread? Looking for more info Yes! Tammy, janicel4 and I are still around...Please go to page one of this thread and read the first post, that will give you all the details of the Wendie approach, named for an old WW member who successful created this organized way of using WPs in a staggered way throughout the week to keep her body's metabolism guessing and thus more in weight loss mode, IIRC. There is a link in the first post that will take you to a page where you can figure out your Wendie DPs depending on whether you're using SPs or PP. And there are two options per plan, one is based on the original points, the other based on a revised version via these or similar forums. FYI, I successfully used the version based on the forum boards and it worked very well for me. There is also another variation on the first page of this thread called Maggie, and that was slightly different, it explains it there too. I never used that so cannot speak to that. Maybe Tammy or janicel4 can. I did find it easiest to copy down the info into a Word doc and print it out so I always could refer to it to know what my total DPs were each day. And when the calculator asks you what High Point day you would like, I used Friday because I do WIs first thing Friday morning at home, and we like to go out to dinner on Friday evenings, so that was a good day for me to eat my highest amount of WPs and did not affect WI because WI was as soon as I wake up. If you go to WIs at a WW place, then I'd recommend doing your HPs day the day after WI, or on a weekend, if your WI is later on in the week. Good luck!

surfgirl,At one point I thought the formula was for Points Plus only. Will either point system work and which to you prefer,Points Plus or Smart Points?I guess it will work for maintenance also. Thanks for all your great insights on the Beck thread.I am going to look up the first page now. Thanks!!!

I've only done PP both with and without the Wendie variation, but if you click on that link on the first post of this thread, it gives you the option of SP or PP, and then within each of those two plans, you can choose the original Wendie calculations or the newer calculations based on the forums (which I think means the now defunct WW forum where the formula was tweaked to reflect the program changes since Wendie did her plan. I know it works on the PP option with the forum version, that's the numbers I have been using and when I follow it, it works! At least it did last time I was 100% OP...

surfgirl, I rarely eat more than 30 points when I'm eating at home. Easier to do on those day whenI eat out. It's how I ate to lose weight on the plan last year. If I eat more points now won't I gain weight?

pbnj,I'm hoping Tammy sees this and can respond. I'm not in maintenance so I cant really answer your question as I think it relates to maintenance, yes? The Wendie plan is about NOT eating the same amount of DPs daily. Instead, you stagger up and down, sometimes up alot on your high points day, and you draw the extra DPs from your WP bag, if that makes sense. Anyway, hopefully Tammy can weight in because I think she did this for a bit while maintaining. Though it sounds like you need to lose a few pounds right? In which case, I would just follow the instructions as they are written and see if the scale budges.

Interesting read. I know my DP is 30 but I can't find information about my WP. Seems like it was a multiple of 7: 7, 14, or 21 but I don't find info about that on the WW website or on my account. pbnj, What is your WP allotment? I know 30 DP is for losing and 36 for maintenance but can't remember the other numbers. There doesn't seem to be much difference every day, other than one big point day followed by days that are about the same. I'm looking at the number for Smart Points; it might be different with PP. surfgirl, Thanks for sharing the information about this. I'm with Pat, I'm willing to try something different!

Thanks for the info surfgirl. linda72,I don't know about you but I am down to 21 Weeklies even on maintenance.I rarely get 30 SP in at home or when we eat out.I don't know about the app but it should tell you on your laptop if you use one how many you get.The WW coach I talked to once said you can add to your SP up to 36 SP but the weeklies don't change. pbnj,You can do this.

@beckyw2016, I usually track on my pc and it lists 30 points as my DP (since I said I want to lose, not maintain) but I don't see where my WP number is. I do think mine was 14 which would give 2 extra points per day (assuming you use them all) Like you, I seldom get more than 30 SP/day.

linda72,On your PC(at least that's where mine is)it lists WP left to the left of how many DP are left for the day.I can easily get 1200 calories but the whole SP system seems off.So far today thru my evening snacks I have 1240 calories tracked but only 25 DP tracked. My weeklies have never gone below 21.I started at 35 I think then it went down by 7 every few lbs I lost.I have my set to maintain but I haven't added any maintenance points in.
