I do, and I actually thought it was a great program. I lost weight on it.

Funny how everyone seems to be slamming the Fat & Fiber Plan. This plan is how I lost all my weight and hit my goal and I think they were just barely starting to introduce a points plan. So you had the choice of the Points or F&F. What is interesting is that whenever I was on the Points plan I always felt hungry. I switched to F&F and felt satisfied. You could eat more food and you didn't have to do all that point calculating. It taught you to eat healthier than the points plan. Every time I would go to meetings I'd hear members whine about how they had a crappy weight loss - they were ALWAYS the Points people. F&F wasn't as popular because honestly, people didn't want to face the realities of eating healthier. Points leaves too much room to make deals with yourself like, "I can have that (fill in the blank high-fat food), I just have to count the points and sacrifice the points through the rest of the day. Result - you ate bad food and on top of that, you are hungry which creates more eating and going over points. So in the end, they got rid of it. Shame because that plan melted the pounds off.

Martini Girl, actually they never got rid of it until this latest version, where they just kind of merged everything together (which they started to do with the colored plans and just eased everyone into it.)
. At first it became CORE > Simply Filling > Purple > Personal Points.

I can't imagine WW ever running 2 different plans concurrently at meetings. When the Points plan was introduced in about 1998, every other plan, including the Freedom Plan (fat &fiber) was out the window. Through the years, whenever a new plan was introduced, all cookbooks, dining guides, etc, were suddenly obsolete. The only times I can think of where people might have been following 2 plans was during the Core and Flex era. Also, the colored plans, and personal plans, naturally, had everyone on a different method.

At first it became CORE > Simply Filling > Purple > Personal Points. Yes I believe you are correct. I couldn’t think of the name of the other plan that was going on at the same time as Fat & Fiber. Been so long! Ha. It was more points based correct?

Also, the colored plans, and personal plans, naturally, had everyone on a different method. Yeah I remember it was sort of weird at first when they had two plans going at once. But I will say I kind of liked it because it gave you more choice and being able to flex. For example one member was really struggling with the scale moving. She kept staying the same. Then the Leader suggested she do the F&F plan for just ONE week and poof! She broke the streak and she went back to the other plan and kept. So it was good for that or seeing which one was better for you or needed a change up. I agree with you about the books. Ugh!

This was the only time I lost 75 pounds fast very easily without all the nonsense I think it was 97 or 98. I was thinking back to when I lost 75 pounds easily and this was the diet I used. I also walked 5 miles daily and did Taebo 3 times a week. I have since not been able to replicate this success. 47 years old 300 pounds and had gastric sleeve in 2016. Lost 120 pounds with Gastric Sleeve gained back 60. The surgery weight was 367. I am going to try it again. I really think fiber is everything.

Yes , so much negativity here about this plan but I LOVED IT !! So easy , some one said 850 cal if you don’t add anything else ! Well what would You add? Lol. I lost weight and kept it off for Years not to mention the guy benefits of a high fiber diet . Like any plan you have to be accountable! You can’t gorge on zero point foods and expect to lose. Comparatively speaking you can’t eat. A ton of fat free cookies and candy and lose !

I did the F&F when it first came out. I can say I loved the diet. I lost 85 pounds while following it. I wish I had the will power to follow it again

I lost 40 pounds on this plan and loved it. The problem for WW is that people would shoot for extremes and eat way too little fat …which can contribute to the development of gall stones. And then pump up the fiber to max extremes resulting in major issues with cramping and diarrhea. It was too much of a potential liability for WW to deal with when people would not follow the plan properly as it did give them too much leeway with those basic guidelines. I still eyeball the guidelines, on occasion, as it worked really well for me.
