Good Morning Challengers! Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my green zone of pts, HEZ, blue dot. I did my 2 microhabits - â50 pushawaysâ and âno seconds with snack.â Yesterday we walked 2 miles. Woke up this am to 21.2 F temp. But itâs sunny and gorgeous out. DEBBIE - How did the IT quarantine thing with your work go? Iâve wondered. GFY cheerfully planning the indoor walking. I really donât like having to exercise indoors. I miss my walk. But I âget over itâ as best I can when I have to. KELLY - Glad you enjoyed âLady in the Lake.â It was interesting how many different first-person narratives were in there. Youâre as bad as I am with all your books - I have 2 nonfiction and one fiction now in my âOverdriveâ app and two nonfiction and a book on meditation in my Kindle app. My nonfiction are on health, nutrition, history. GFY with the good weekend and nice visit with your sis. So nice others went too. Mostly OP is way better than a âlost weekend.â I had a struggling week, but increased prayer and meditation and commitment to have a good clean eating day Sunday. CAROL - Yes, thatâs what I figure - doing âhalfâ is better than none - I hear myself thinking âWell at least I did something.â Moving past âall or nothing thinkingâ has been a process. So glad you enjoyed the mini road trip with your sis. GFY with the walking and stretching. Glad youâre enjoying Laura Lippmann. I think Iâve read all of hers. Now making my way through Louise Penny. Sorry I didnât check in until now re Phillip Kerr. Anyway I donât know what order to recommend đ Youâll enjoy it either way. I thought of you when I saw this cartoon đ. Have a good trip! Waving at everyone! Have a great day! Cait

MONDAY, MONDAY! CAN'T TRUST THAT DAY! Any old "Mamas and Papas" fans here? I was planning on a bike ride this afternoon, but it turned cold and wet . I did stretch, though. KELLY -- I'm glad you & others had a nice visit with your sister, and that you still had time to walk 5 miles! CAIT -- I LOLed at the cartoon! I started the first Tess M. book by Lippmann; I think it will be a good "go-to" series for me. I was a little disappointed that I figured out the twist in *What the Dead Know,* so I'm hoping the series will be more like *Lady in the Lake,* which I didn't figure out Good job on your A+ day yesterday! DEBBIE -- the weather is such a game-changer for me, too, and I haven't gotten back into a gym since March! Hopefully, after we get Fred's folks' move and home sale completed I'll feel like I can investigate a gym again. Our city is in the red zone now, so we need to be extra vigilant. 247/250 miles 65/75 stretching Stretching: 2018: 141; 2019: 192 2020: Jan:14; Feb:16; Mar:16; Apr:15; May:16; June:14; July:16; Aug:11; Sept:15; Oct:17; Nov: 6/30

Good Morning!!
I had an OP day yesterday. I added 2 miles.
All the reading and Bible studies I have been doing keeps me off social media and listening to the News. We have not had cable for over a year. We have Philo and can enjoy many stations just not the major networks. I have one of the local news stations on my phone that I skim for any real need to know info. Doing this really helped stay positive in our current season.
Debbie: I am definitely enjoying the weather. I hope it lasts a little longer.
Cait: Great on job on doing all the HHs, walking, and your microhabits.
Ha ha at the cartoon.
Carol: Bummer on the cold and rain. Believe rain is headed our way for Wed and Thurs. I remember the Mammas and the Pappas. I can enjoy most music except Rap.
The Healthcare organization I am working for our hospitalizations with Co-vid are up higher than what they were in the beginning of course most schools are back to in person teaching, restaurants are 50 % capacity, and really think many have just left their guard down. I'm really hoping we do not have another shut down.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good Afternoon Challengers!
Yesterday I did 1/6 of my main HHs, went above reen zone of pts. I did 1/2 of my microhabits - â50 pushawaysâ Yesterday we walked 2 miles.
I have such a problem with DHâs snack foods and hearing him munch on them. But I figure itâs my problem. I just have to make the decision and stuck to it. Easier said than done of course. But Iâm not giving up.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my green zone of pts, HEZ, blue dot. I did 1/2 of my microhabits - âno seconds with snackâ Yesterday DH went to town to shop and do DMV license renewal. He was prepared to take the written test but they waived it because he had the âReal ID.â We got them last year before our Europe trip.
Anyway I donât like to walk on my own here so I did 40 mins Nordic Track. I finished my Louise Penny book. Starting in on a Phillip Kerr that I missed in the series.
KELLY & CAROL - Iâm glad you liked the cartoon - it took me a while to notice the cat!
CAROL - hope you can get in some walking and biking. Hope you enjoy the Tess M series of Lippmann books. When do you leave for CO? Does your garden volunteer thing stop in Fall, Winter?
KELLY - GFY getting in the miles and OP. Yes, staying off news harangues and reading what I choose helps me stay more balanced also.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

WEDNESDAY!
KELLY đ¤for avoiding another shutdown! That must cause some major anxiety for everyone involved. The possibility of an effective vaccine is encouraging, but I know it will be a while. Concerning the newsâI heard a psychologist say, âYouâll find out eventually; you donât need to look at every post and tweet.â I read the newspaper and watch a little news, and thatâs it. Good job staying OP and walking.
CAIT â good comeback with your HHS! Those snacks are distracting, for sure! I heard someone talk about âriding the waveâ when an urge or craving hits. That often helps me.
I decided not to go to Colorado. One of our cats needs medication, and the neighbor who usually watches them is not available, so I need to stay and treat her. Thatâs OK though because Fred has actual work to do and I was only going to get a haircut, ha ha.
I walked 2 miles yesterday & today, and I just finished stretching.

Good Morning!!
I stayed OP and added 2 miles. Total rain out.
With the rising cases I believe we to try and cut the in person visits to 20% Video visits in our office.
Carol: Funny that you quoted the psychologist. I just basically said the same thing to a friend who is engrossed in News and Social media. She is suffering with anxiety and depression.
Bummer about not going to CO. Good job with your continued miles and stretching.
Cait: Yeah, a good day. Wow, you have to take a written exam to renew your license? Good job getting on your Nordic track.
Have a Great day! Happy Walking!

Good Afternoon Challengers! Yesterday I did 1/6 of my main HHs, went above my red zone of pts. I did 1/2 of my microhabits - â50 pushawaysâ We keep surprising eagles on our walk. Today three were in the trees - two took off when we came close, but one stayed, and was still there when we came back by that spot. See if you can find the eagle hiding in this photo from today. Iâll tell you tomorrow where it was..... KELLY - GFY 2 mi & OP. Iâm aiming for OP green zone, healthy eating zone, blue dot, today. I think the DMV written test requirement was because we are over 70. Itâs probably easier for them than âcounting our marblesâ LOL! Glad your office can limit in person visits and still help folks. Iâm trying to do this also. CAROL - GFY with the 2mi Tuesday & Wednesday & stretching. Too bad about missing the CO trip. I too am trying to limit news and social media but itâs hard. I feel the âblowsâ when I read something snarky or untrue. But itâs hard to stop reading. I try to pray and meditate. Same with the urge to eat the snacks. The wave analogy might have been from me - itâs in one of the mindfulness meditation exercises in the âEat Right Nowâ app. Thanks for the reminder! Waving at everyone! Have a great day! Cait

Good Morning!!
Woohoo, I lost what i gained last week. Weekend will be a challenge I have 2 functions over the weekend with one being a Women's Friends giving at Church. I added 2 miles yesterday.
Cait: Bummer about the high point day. All your walking keeps you grounded with your weight. I was so tempted to call the DH last night and tell him we were going to the Hibachi buffet instead of eating the Taco salad I had planned. The staff that were til 8 last night had ordered Chinese and it smelled so good. I talked myself out of it, mainly due to knowing the next weeks have a lot of functions with food.
The Eagle looks like its on the middle branch in the center of the picture, but not sure my eyes are not quite awake yet, lol.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did 3/6 of my main HHs, stayed in my orange zone of pts. I did 1/2 of my microhabits - â50 pushawaysâ The eagle (or maybe goshawk) is on the right side of the photo, midway between top and bottom, perched on the gray branch.
Itâs raining today so not sure if we will walk.
KELLY - Whoo Hoo for you, losing the weight you had regained. GFY sticking to the plan for the taco salad. Itâs so seductive to be drawn to impulse eating. Good wishes for a strong and grounded weekend. Wishing that for me too đ Good point about the âgroundingâ in exercise. Itâs been that way as long as I can remember.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!
