SUNDAY! Hard to believe another week is in the books! Also hard to believe that Thanksgiving is almost upon us. We will have a "private" dinner, with turkey breast, potatoes, Brussels sprouts (not my fave, but you know...marriage!), homemade rolls, and cranberry sherbet. I found a recipe for "small batch rolls," so I'm anxious to give it a try. I just have the finishing touches for the cranberry sherbet, so that's about done. I saw the WW Brussels sprouts recipe, CAIT, so I may have to make a store run to get a little bacon! CAIT, good job with your HHs and micro-habits. Now, do your PT, would you? I walked 2 miles this morning, and I just finished stretching. Looks like I'll make my stretching goal after all! Have a good week, everyone! 265/250 miles 71/75 stretching Stretching: 2018: 141; 2019: 192 2020: Jan:14; Feb:16; Mar:16; Apr:15; May:16; June:14; July:16; Aug:11; Sept:15; Oct:17; Nov: 12/30

Good Morning!!
I only added 2 miles on Friday. There was not time for exercise over the weekend. Saturday I was away from home most of the day and the activities I was partaking in were all sitting. The DH and I were up early grabbed breakfast and did our shopping, then I attended a Grief share meeting Getting through the Holidays with some Friends. After that I ran back home grabbed the DH and off to help set up for the Senior Thanksgiving at Church. It was the easiest I had it for one of these only had to put out the eating utensils for the place settings. Put some deserts on the plates. One of the Ladies from the Women's Ministry decorated the tables. I did help clear some tables once they were done eating. It was nice for a change not to have to cook, bake, set up everything and then take down and clean everything. One of the older men that use to have a catering business did all the cooking and some baking. After that the DH and I went home fed the dogs and cats then went to celebrate a Birthday party for one of my Great Nieces. I did manage household chores somewhere between all of that too.
Yesterday, we did Church from home so I could do some of the cooking and baking. I did some baking for my sister in BIL yesterday. Made them some lemon crinkle cookies, pumpkin cinnamon chip cookies, and then a layered pumpkin cheesecake. Made them homemade mac and cheese, too. Picked up Royal Farm Fried chicken. My sister loves it.
Sadie even went to the Groomer early afternoon. We had a very nice visit with my sister and BIL. They were both in good spirits. Her mobility is a somewhat better but still unable to walk.
Eating was not very good. Back on track today. Detox is what is needed.
DH's oldest daughter decided to cancel the plans to go out on Thanksgiving. So the DH and I are going to stay in and have probably Lasagna. We had a very nice Thanksgiving meal on Saturday and I had one the weekend before, also.
Cases are really on the rise locally. My friend's mother took a turn for the worse and was vented on Friday and then had to be flown to a UMMC hospital in MD for more intensive care than Gettysburg could provide.
Cait: Awesome job with staying with your HHs and micro habits. Great job with your miles and doing the WW workout.
Carol: Great job on the miles.
Have a great day.

Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my green zone of pts. 2 microhabits: â50 pushawaysâ N âno seconds with snack.â Y
I used the âCravingâ tool in the evening, part of the free features in the âEat Right Nowâ app. Iâve used it several times now and it does help.
Yesterday we walked our 2 miles.
I did part of another âFit Onâ video from the WW app. for 2 mins - arms with hand weights.
Talked to DD1 and DGDs on FaceTime.
Itâs cold here, but cozy đ
CAROL - I will do my PT today đ€Ș GFY 2 mi and stretching. My DH makes roasted Brussels sprouts and theyâre great. I do like them just plain steamed though.
KELLY - Wow sounds like a very busy weekend! Yes I know how odd it seems when detox is sounding good đ đ for your friendâs Mom. Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

The urges to eat more in the evening were less than before, but I used the âCravingâ tool in the evening again, part of the free features in the âEat Right Nowâ app. It goes through a series of questions that help put the urges in perspective.
Yesterday no walk because DH went to town for groceries but I did my floor PT exercises for 33 mins.
CAROL - Thanks for the nudge - I did it! đ Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

TUESDAY!
Boy, the days just fly by!
KELLY -- the description of your weekend made me tired! How nice, though, that you had more help with the dinner! I hope your friend's mom recovers; it's a little concerning, isn't it, that she had to be flown to another hospital? These vaccines give me hope, though! GFY getting back on track after your whirlwind weekend.
CAIT -- GFY doing your PT! It's great that the WW Craving tool is helpful for you!
We are going to have a "private" thanksgiving dinner, too. It'll be pretty traditional, and I'm even thinking of clearing off the dining room table and using our china! What a thought! Our buffet in the dining room has turned into a pantry of sorts, but I'm pretty sure I can clear off the table.
We're having a wet, chilly day, but I walked 2 miles and just finished stretching.

Good Morning Dimers!

Yesterday we walked 2 miles. We surprised a goshawk sitting in a tree by the road.
We will have a quiet Thanksgiving for just the 2 of us. DH got himself a turkey breast.
CAROL - the Craving tool is in a different app, not WW - âEat Right Nowâ - itâs an app for mindfulness and eating. There are a lot of free features as well as pay features. I did the pay version for 1 year to complete all the lessons, but after that I canceled and just use the free features. Yes Iâm glad I broke the logjam with PT Monday - I was a tiny bit sore yesterday so I know I need it. GFY 2 mi walk despite the rain and chill, and stretching.
KELLY - I can imagine how tired you are of covid đ€š With your work it must be especially taxing. Just for me sitting on the sidelines, it weighs on my mind and heart with all the anger and dissension on top of the danger and fear. GFY with the 2 mi. Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

This is an interesting article related to the brain science behind what KELLY was talking about - the mental and emotional effects of the multiple crises weâve had to deal with this year, and the emotional and behavioral phases weâve gone through with covid. THANKSGIVING THURSDAY!
CAITâ Iâm also grateful for this group, which keeps me accountable; without you, I would be much more tempted to slack off. Good job with your habits!
We had a quiet day cooking and eating. I did have a quick (safe) driveway chat with a nephew who stopped by to pick up the cranberry sherbet. Gosh! I havenât seen any of my sisterâs boys & their families since early March!
Yesterday I walked for 2+ miles, and I stretched today.

Good Morning!!
Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I am also so thankful to have you Ladies. Always an encouragement to me.
Sorry t be MIA. Tuesday ended up being a crazy day. I got a very bad headache mid morning and felt feverish. It was only 99.9, so not technically a fever. I had to leave work and get tested for Co-vid then stay home. Fortunately, since I am a healthcare worker I had my results back the next morning. After talking to Employee Health and my Practice Manager I was allowed to go back.
I only added 4 miles Tues-Thurs. Yesterday, the DH and I stayed in. I did a little decorating for Christmas, read, watched some movies, and we took a walk. We did lasagna for our Thanksgiving meal. My eating has not been good this week. Lots of treats and carbs.
My friend's mom is ok. Seems like some improvements and other declines in other body functions. We had a Church member that passed from Co-vid and he was only 55. My heart just breaks for his wife and their family.
I work today hoping it will be a little more quiet. I have Monday off. Plan to do the rest of my decorating this weekend.
Cait: Good job with staying OP and walking.
Carol: Your meal looked yummy. I am sure you are missing the family. Good job walking.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good morning, Challengers!
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my green zone of pts. 2 microhabits: â50 pushawaysâ N âno seconds with snackâ N
Yesterday we walked 2 miles.
We FaceTimed with both my DDs, their DHs, and the 2 DGDs, which was a joy, and we got text pics from DHâs 2 DDs in PA. My sis emailed me, and I saw pics of my Bro and one of his kidsâ families who were visiting him. Such a blessing to have these options to stay connected. I hope today we will call DHs Sis and BIL and maybe my Sis.
CAROL - GFY 2 mi and stretching! Itâs so tempting to slack off, and so helpful to share with. Itâs encouraging! What a great word, âencouraging,â now that I think about it đ So nice you could see your nephew.
KELLY - 4 mi Tues-Thurs is way better than nothing, which would have been easy to do and even to justify with âtoo busy.â So glad youâre feeling better. That must have been a scare. What do you think it was? Yes, âen-courage-mentâ! Glad to hear about your friendâs Mom doing somewhat better đ. So sorry about your church member đđ Heartbreaking.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!
